Some of my favourite restaurants which we visited this summer are:
Jungle Fish – Great for lunch
Jungle Fish is a “must do” in Ubud, where you can experience swimming amidst the lush jungle, in the beautiful landscape of the Ubud area. Open-air split-level restaurant and pool bar perched on the side of a ridge overlooking the Osh River Valley, Jungle Fish is located just 10 minutes’ drive north of Ubud.
Jungle Fish are always adding new dishes to the menu. You will experience more variety with creative recipes, all made with fresh qualitative ingredients and love! Let us know what you think.

Mama San - Dinner
One of award winning Chef Will Meyrick's Bali based restaurants. At Mamasan you can step into colonial Britain in Shanghai during the 1920s, with marble top mah-jong tables and oversized tan leather chesterﬁelds, in a purpose designed industrial high ceiling warehouse. Gaze up to Mama San in all her glory staring down at patrons while dining and ponder over a travelogue of old style photographs. Colorful displays of retro inspired ﬂowers tower up to vintage clocks and a Chinese patterned mirror.

Metis - Dinner
Chef Nicolas 'Doudou' Tourneville, formerly of Kafe Warisan, brings his legendary talent and culinary artistry to the table with a masterful combination of French Mediterranean cuisine. Together with Executive Chef Dove Sudarsana, he introduces innovative flavors that continuously please the guests. Flawless service in one of Bali's most elegantly sophisticated settings is just the beginning of this seduction into the depths of the five senses. MÉTIS is as fresh and sumptuous as the cuisine that graces its tables.

Kiln – lunch or dinner
KILN is Seminyak’s new bar and eating house, where the food is forged in fire, made for sharing, and inspired by the Eastern Mediterranean.
The menu was put together by young Singaporean talent Nicholas Scorpion alongside Australian celebrity chef Morgan McGlone, who has worked the world over in some of its best restaurants. He is known for launching the much-lauded French Bistro at Flinders Inn, award-winning hospitality group Taste of Young Sydney, and the acclaimed Belles Hot Chicken, after several years working at Southern cooking destination Husk in South Carolina and Nashville.
For brunch and during the day, the menu revolves around freshness, vibrancy and health. Think family-style platters, skillets of eggs, amazing wraps and dips, and huge selections of salads and fresh vegetables. When the sun goes down, KILN serves the freshest meats, seafood and vegetables, all cooked over fire in its signature copper oven. There’s flame-licked shellfish, charred meats, salt-baked and fire-grilled vegetables, oven-fresh flatbreads, and sensational snacks made with the freshest ingredients, all sustainably sourced from the local area.
Sea Circus – Breakfast or lunch
Sea Circus is not an actual circus. As our [ridiculously long and awesomely pink] neon sign says, we are a ‘restaurant, cocktail bar & coffee den’.
Some days you may fancy drinking coconut lattes and eat scrambled vegan tofu. On other days indulge in tasty tacos and drink way too many margaritas...
Ku de Ta – The best sunset views
As Bali's original sunset destination, we are a restaurant, bar and beach lounge set to an eclectic soulful soundtrack with panoramic views across the Indian Ocean.
Open from 8 am until late, we serve a variety of dining options from informal grazing to relaxed fine-dining throughout our open plan venue.
Naughty Nuri’s – lunch or dinner
Famous for their killer bbq pork spare ribs and twisted martinis.
In 1994 a young man named Brian Aldinger from New Jersey was traveling around Java, Indonesia when he met a beautiful and interesting young woman called IsnuriSuryatmi (Nuri). They fell in love and were married shortly after.
When holidaying in Bali they decided that Ubud, (the artist's area in the hills of Bali) was the place for them and opened a small warung in 1995 where they could sell some drinks, make a few simple dishes and talk to the customers. So Naughty Nuri’s was born! Nuri says the name was chosen because she was Nuri and her husband Brian was Naughty.
Before too long, many of the local expatriate community and some of the local Balinese people would come by and chat with the couple and some friends suggested that Naughty Nuri’s put a small BBQ at the front of the warung. The pork ribs became so popular that the BBQ became one of the most photographed tourist attractions in Ubud, if not the whole of Bali.
