The Minimalist Btq is a fashion brand which celebrates imperfection and asymmetrical beauty. For this collection, the designer, Nida's inspiration was to create different shapes and forms of waves of the ocean, bringing them to life on a neutral color palette and use a subtle print. To create the imperfection Nida sought she incorporated detailing such as over-sized sleeves, deconstructed lines and pleats.

We chose to do this shoot in Dubai working with our PR agency CSPR Group.

We chose an international model with the girl-next-door look. We worked with makeup artist Daniela Pires who applied natural makeup highlighting the models gorgeous bone structure.

Dubai's Al Quoz was the perfect area for the shoot offering backdrops of broken walls in a dust sand color, raw industrial scaffolding and minimal detailing.

The location also happened to be outside the popular custom motorcycles coffee shop Cafe Rider.

Cafe Rider's interior is industrial-style, with leather couches and benches dotted around the workshop. This environment and energy blended easily with The Minimalist Btq's core characteristics. It also helped that the amazing in-house brewed coffee kept the team fueled throughout the day.

For photographic magic, we have long admired the work of a Dubai based photographer called Augustine Peredes; we like his vision and creativity to build a timeline or series blending into one holistic look and feel. Augustine's professionalism and flexibility made him a dream to work with and his remarkable talents meshed wonderfully with Nida's vision.

Here are a few pictures from the shoot.
